Primary Functions

• Mechanical Securing & Strain Relief: Installed at the cable entry point of a high-voltage mining cable coupler. It securely fastens the heavy mining cable to the main housing, providing essential strain relief to prevent internal electrical connections from pulling loose when the cable is dragged underground.

• Watertight & Dustproof Sealing: The groove on the central ring is specifically designed to house an O-ring. When fully assembled, it creates a robust environmental seal (often IP68 rated) that completely protects the internal electrical components from harsh mining conditions, including water, moisture, and dust ingress.

• Lightweight Adaptation: The use of aluminum alloy ensures sufficient mechanical durability while significantly reducing the overall weight of the coupler assembly. This is a critical advantage for equipment that miners must frequently manually handle, lift, and drag through rugged underground environments.
